BISHOP
DANA & LINDA MCKILLOP
Those of us who know our Bishop and his wife realize nothing that we could say would adequately express our appreciation for the security, concern and care their ministry has provided for our local assembly over the past 24 years.
If there was one thing that characterizes our Bishop, it would be his relationship with God. With a preaching ministry second to none, his positive and challenging messages have branded themselves into the hearts and minds of our congregation.
Many visitors to our church often comment on the singing and worship of our congregation. The reason for this is imminently obvious to any that take the time to observe the Bishop in action. If a song is being sung, he’s singing. If a tear is being shed, he’s crying. If worship is taking place, he’s worshipping!
Unwilling to compromise the Gospel that he holds precious, his spiritual leadership and the ability to find the “key” to a service put him in a class all by himself. Thank God for a Bishop and his wife who are willing to stand in the gap!
ASSISTANT PASTOR
DANIEL & RUTH MCKILLOP
The Bishop has been blessed to have his son Daniel as his assistant for the past 6 years. Highly respected, his outstanding character, principles and steadfastness have made him an integral part of the Bishop’s ministry. He and his wife, Ruth, have consistently walked with Christ through each stage of their lives. Accomplished musicians, they have worked tirelessly to develop both musical and chorale skills within our assemblies.
Looking after much of the day to day operations of the organization, he has gained the respect of the church and community alike. He has come to be known as one who can get the job done, and because of his contagious sense of humor ensure that the process is enjoyable for all involved. His caring, compassionate ways in leadership, that seem to come so natural, remind us of his late Grandfather, P.W. Shaw.
We count ourselves blessed to be able to watch their ministry develop in our midst, certain that their hunger for God will in their season casue them to build solidly on the foundations of the Church’s primary doctrines.
