Learning To Co-inhabit With What You Can’t Conqueror
May 1, 2011 - Pastor D.R. McKillop

It is not the will of God for His children to live in defeat. We need to be a conquering people. God promised Moses he could inherit whatever land the sole of his foot tread upon and when he was gone God promised Joshua the same things that he had promised Moses and Abraham also. God’s promises are not for just one generation. God had subdued the land before Joshua with not one man standing before him. The conquest for the land was the promise but the prosperity depended on the condition. God told them to be strong and of good courage. Their obligation, submission, and obedience to do all the Law was part of the condition to having prosperity. Promise is connected to the Promised Land; prosperity is connected to promised people. The question is not about the land; the question is about the people. We need to be disturbed when we experience defeat.

The enemy likes to wreak havoc with our minds and convince us that God can’t do anything. Don’t get the attitude that our problems are just a way of life; be prepared to come against it. The battle of conquering our land is in the mind. No matter what situation you are facing throw it at the Word and it will work. The Word is powerful enough to heal as well as change lives. When God chooses not to heal it means that person is worthy of being promoted and have learned through their trial to conquer themselves.

What does God think of some of the things we have learned to live with? If we are not suppose to live with it then it is time to fight and conquer it. Keep fighting it until God tells you it is something you have to live with. The enemy wants to make us feel weak, tired, and defeated. Never join the camp that says that God can’t do it. Let’s make up our minds to fix whatever we shouldn’t be living with, conquer it, and have victory.

Be Thou Perfect
May 8, 2011 - Bishop D.H. McKillop

Jesus has a purpose and a finish point for each of us. Our desire needs to be to find that purpose and will for our lives. We need the Almighty God and a Word from Heaven to be alive in us. We know not how to pray as we ought but the Holy Ghost makes intercession for us. God will give us a thorn in the flesh that keeps us from getting too high  and keeps us from getting too low. He wants us to make it as much as we want to make it; He keeps us balanced.

God controls our future; it is a walk by faith. If we found our experiences on men we are not walking before God. If we walk by faith it will keep us above the world. When we fill our entire range of vision with God nothing else will matter. The fashions of this world will pass away. God perfectly settles everything for those that simply put their trust in Him. He has never failed us yet and he is not going to now. He is Almighty God; walk before him

We Have a Hope
May 15, 2011 - Bishop DH McKillop

If our ways please God we will get favor from Him. He tells secrets to His obedient children. Abraham was a stranger in the land he sojourned but because he had a relationship with Jesus he was granted special privileges. He heard from another world and had direct communication with God. He was able to have insight into what was going on in Sodom and Gomorrah because he was close to God. He didn’t have to go down to see how bad it was. Lot looked, pitched, and dwelt next to Sodom. He became attached to the wicked because he was not walking with God like Abraham was.

Jesus is coming back for those that are looking for Him. It doesn’t require being able to figure out prophecy; it just takes walking with Him, looking for Him, and a desire to see Him. It is better to be drawn by joys of Heaven than to be driven by the sorrows of this earth. We need to earnestly contend for the faith. Don’t let the shakings of your life be what makes you long for Heaven. When Paul was shipwrecked he was commanded to get a board and hang on. No matter how bad the storm got, they knew if they stayed with the ship not one of their lives would be lost. As we are nearing the shore, no matter how bad your storm gets, keep hanging on to the ship. We have a hope that there is land that is better.

Willingness
May 29, 2011 - Pastor D.R. McKillop

A willingness to step up when God challenges brings about amazing results. Be willing to put the Word of God to the test. We can’t be driven by needs.

Deborah, the prophetess, had the job of making and maintaining the wicks for the candles in the Tabernacle; the wick had to maximize the oil supply and not all nights were the same length. Depending on the season, some nights could be longer than others. She had to make sure there was enough oil to last the night. The variation of the oil is the wick. No leftover oil could be used the next night; it had to be new oil.  Drought will come and go in our lives and we have got to know how to manage what God has given us. The leadership has to make sure the night doesn’t catch us unaware. We have enough faith to make it if we handle our oil right.

Willingness, carefulness, and anointing is something God can use. It didn’t matter who led the battle to Mt. Tabor, they just wanted to win. There is a struggle with connecting the mountain to your victory. Jael knew it wasn’t just Deborah and Barak’s battle. While her husband was fighting on the front lines, she was home in her tent and heard Sisera coming. She knew it was an enemy. She bid him to rest and while he slept she killed him with a tent peg. She knew you either fight or you become part of the spoil. Sharpen your tent peg and be willing to fight in the tent you are dwelling in.

Keep climbing your mountain-everything’s connected. Willing followers will make victory happen. If we are willing; Jesus is able.
