For years, Sunday Schools, youth groups and senior socials have been a common and vital part of churches of all denominations and sizes. The age group that seems to get overlooked is the one somewhere between too old to keep up with the youth and too young to settle down with the seniors for a game of “Search a Word” . So, the Family Worship Center of Plaster Rock has come up with an age bracket of 35-60 years old and a catchy title called the “Overcomers”.

The whole idea of developing the Overcomers was to include everybody in a social activity and just have good, clean fun at the same time.  In the winter months, we get together to beat the winter blahs and have an evening full of fellowship, games, hilarious skits, and yes of course, plenty of delicious food! In the summer months, we look forward to a day of boating/kayaking down the beautiful Tobique River (weather permitting) followed by a picnic lunch and perhaps a game of softball or volleyball to prove that we are not as old as we look!

Another aspect of FWC is Marriage Retreat which not only includes Overcomers but all married couples. Whenever the leadership of FWC feels the timing is right, we set aside a weekend just for Husband’s & Wive’s and focus on strengthening the family unit.  We look forward to this event and come expecting to laugh a lot, shed a few tears and experience some powerful teaching that will equip each of us with the tools we need, whether it is raising our children, strengthening our marriage, mending broken relationships, facing financial challenges, or achieving our ultimate goal - Heaven! We even set aside some time for just you and your spouse during this weekend and call it “Date-Night”.

In summary, the FWC is a HAPPENING Church with a spot for everyone. If you are looking for a place to belong, it has a spot just for YOU!
