Ministries

The Youth Department of FWC is as happening as it comes. Our name is SouldOut and is intended to encourage youth to be “Sold Out” to Jesus so we can reach more “Souls” for his kingdom. We have activities for the youth on a monthly basis. This can be anything from a game of softball, volleyball, hockey, or basket ball, and is usually accompanied with a corn boil, Bar-B-Q, pizza party, or lunch at FWC. We also do a lunch at the end of every month following the Sunday night service.

We have overnight trips that can include trout fishing in the wild, camping and sight seeing, shooting skeet, and hunting partridge!  The Married couples (up to age 35) get together for activities and banquets of fun filled evenings, including skits, games, and yankee swaps at Christmas time! We do a yearly trip that has taken us to Lancaster PA, Washington DC, & New York City over the past couple of years.

We have two major church based youth events a year! One is ANVIL and this is our winter youth conference. It includes skating on the lake, pond hockey, gym, sliding, and down hill skiing - and of course Church!!! Our largest event is RIOT that is held at the end of August. This is our Family Camp Week that has special emphasis put on the youth. It starts on Tuesday and ends Saturday morning. There is church every morning and evening. It is always a highlight of our year and is a great asset to our church as a whole. Several youth have made commitments, over the past several years, that will keep them rooted and grounded in the Truth!

Bible Quizzing is a vital part of our youth group. It has been for several years now and I believe we will reap the results for many more to come. We have 4 junior teams and 6 senior teams that are involved on a yearly basis. It is always an asset to put the Word of God in your heart.

I believe this quote sums up our vibrant youth group.

“Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.” We don’t have time to wait...

Luke 10:2

Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest.

The Youth of Today is our Future and we pray that God makes kingdom minded laborers out of everyone of them!
