Have you ever heard how the Eskimo captures the wolf?

Let me explain what happens. The Eskimo coats the blade of his very best knife with fresh blood and let’s it freeze. He then gives it another coat and freezes it again. He continues to repeat this process until the blade is completely covered and thick with blood, after receiving several frozen layers. Then he buries the stock of the knife deep in the snow allowing the frozen, bloody blade to stand solitarily above the surface.

The hungry wolf is drawn by the smell of fresh blood. He begins licking away at it with more and more frenzy as the blood begins to melt, lapping at it with unbound fury as he gets the taste if his own, personal fresh blood, when the cutting edge of the blade is finally exposed. He is unaware of the fact that his life is now at stake… “for he is getting his fill of what his nature desires… blood!”

At the cost of his own life, as it ebbs away, he laps at all the blood that seeps from the buried knife. It is here, near the protruding knife, that the Eskimo finds his dead prey in the morning.

Such are the wiles of our spiritual enemy! In these dark days, let us remain focused on curbing, controlling and corralling our fleshly, deadly desires!

FWC Saints and TLA Parents,

As most of you are aware, TLA has always been possible because of the voluntary participation and contributions of our faithful members on a consistent basis. We have never ceased to be amazed at the amount of teamwork and collaborative  input from staff, parents and students alike. All of this contributes to the overall success of TLA. For this we say thank you!

Today we are inviting volunteers to serve in these same positions for yet another year. We are in need of the following:

9 –  Mother Moniter’s willing to come once every three weeks.

3 – Cooking Teams for Hot Lunches.

This is a quick reminder about this evening’s special service. In case some are wondering, it will not be the “traditional” Parent General Session. Rather, this will be a focused service in which direction will be set for our upcoming school year, as well as the future of our young people. Hence, we are inviting ALL to attend, but especially our young couples through those parents of school-age children.

Please join us as we welcome FWC’s newest member, Janalyn… Daughter of proud parents, Bro. & Sis. Kevin Thompson. Janalyn weighed 6 lbs 13 oz. & was 20″ long.

We are thankful that both mother and daughter are healthy. God is so good!

Greetings, FWC!

Thank God for the tremendous weekend we had! Truly the Lord has been good to us!

As many are aware, another school year is rapidly approaching. In an attempt to be adequately prepared for all this year has to offer, we will be allocating a portion of our Tuesday Night Bible Study to the discussion of school business. Therefore, we urge all TLA parents, Staff and students are urged to attend.

As is always the case, EVERYONE is both welcome and invited. We will be having a regular worship service, and Bible Study… It’s just that portions will be focused on setting the direction for another successful year at TLA.
