Hoard The Word
It’s possible to have the Bible everywhere and still not have enough of it inside us.
On our shelves. On our phones. Beside our beds. We can hear preaching, highlight verses, and leave a service knowing God spoke—and still allow His Word to slip away before it has the opportunity to change us.
The Psalmist said, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”
There is a difference between hearing the Word and hiding the Word.
To hide it means we treasure it. We hold onto it. We keep returning to what God has spoken until His Word begins shaping how we think, how we respond, and how we live.
The Bible beside you cannot do what the Bible inside you can do.
When temptation comes, you need something already stored up. When fear starts talking, you need truth ready to answer. When your emotions pull you one direction, you need the Word planted deeply enough to steady your steps.
So don’t just read it and move on.
Hoard the Word. Treasure it. Store it up.
Because someday, perhaps sooner than you think, you’re going to need what you’ve hidden in your heart.
