Sanctified Determination

There is a difference between determination driven by pride and determination surrendered to God. One says, “I don’t need anyone.” The other says, “I refuse to quit because I need Jesus more than ever.”

It’s easy to believe strength means having all the answers, never struggling, or never falling. But real spiritual strength is found in dependency on God. The safest place you can be is submitted to Him.

You may disappoint yourself.

You may stumble.

You may have moments you wish you could undo.

But if your spirit stays right, God can still bring you through it.

The enemy would love for shame to convince you to stay down. But there is still power in walking back through those church doors and saying, “I will serve God.” There is still victory in lifting bruised hands and declaring, “I still need Him.”

You were never called to outgrow your need for Jesus. No amount of experience, gifting, talent, or success can replace dependence on Him. The closer we get to God, the more we realize how much we need His grace every single day.

So if the week has been heavy, don’t isolate yourself. Don’t give up. Don’t let pride keep you away from the presence of God.

Come back and lift your voice again. Pray again. Worship again.

And with the right spirit, declare: “I will arise.” “I will keep serving.” “I still need Jesus.”
