Start At The Gate

Sometimes we want to rush into the deep things of God while skipping the simplest step: thanksgiving. But Scripture reminds us, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise.” That’s not just poetic language—it’s a pattern. A pathway.
Before the breakthrough, before the answer, before the glory—there is thanksgiving.
It’s easy to thank God when the prayer is answered, the storm has passed, and the victory is visible. But real faith learns to thank Him while the battle is still raging. While the report is uncertain. While the promise is still unfolding.
Thanksgiving shifts the atmosphere. It re-centers our hearts. It reminds us that God is still good, still present, and still working—even when we can’t yet see it. And if you’ll stay there—if you move from thanksgiving into praise, and from praise into worship—you’ll find there’s always more of Him waiting. More peace, more direction, more glory.
Don’t stop at the gate.
If all you can do today is whisper “Thank You,” start there.
That simple act may be the very thing that opens the door to where God is trying to take you next.
