When God Looks Your Way

One of the most humbling truths in Scripture is that the God who fills heaven and earth still chooses to look toward certain hearts. Isaiah 66 reminds us that while God is enthroned above creation, His attention is drawn to those who recognize their need for Him, remain tender in His presence, and hold His Word in deep reverence.

In a world that celebrates self-sufficiency, God is attracted to dependence. Spiritual strength isn't found in pretending we have it all together—it begins when we honestly acknowledge, "Lord, without You, I can do nothing." That posture doesn't weaken us; it positions us for His help.

Just as important is maintaining a tender heart. Life has a way of hardening us through disappointments, misunderstandings, and unfair treatment. Yet God's Spirit continually invites us to release what we cannot control into His hands. He is more than capable of defending, providing, and working on our behalf. Our responsibility is not to carry the weight of vengeance or bitterness, but to remain soft enough to hear His voice.

When God's Word still moves us, corrects us, and fills us with awe, we create room for Him to work in powerful ways. This week, don't strive to impress God. Simply draw near with humility, tenderness, and reverence. Those are the hearts He delights to notice—and where His presence is most powerfully revealed.
