When The Thorn Doesn't Go Away
What happens when you've prayed for strength, pleaded for change, and the thing you've asked God to remove is still there?
We all have weaknesses. Some are visible, while others are battles fought within. We pray for healing, long for deliverance, and hope for the day when the struggle finally ends. But what happens when it doesn't?
The Apostle Paul knew that feeling. Three times he asked God to remove the thorn in his flesh. Yet God's response was not the removal of his weakness, but a promise: "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9)
What a powerful reminder - God has more grace than we have weakness!
Sometimes the miracle isn't that the struggle disappears. Sometimes it's discovering that His grace is enough to sustain us while the struggle remains.
Your weakness does not disqualify you from God's purpose. Your struggles do not cancel His promises. And what you're facing today does not have to determine your final victory.
Don't let the thorn in your flesh steal the crown awaiting you.
Even when the weakness remains, God's strength is still available.
Your weakness may still be there, but so is His grace. And His grace is enough!
